The Trail Museum
The Trail Museum is located in the Trail Memorial Centre at 1051 Victoria Street.
The Museum is modest in size however contains a wealth of artifacts, photos and unique historical items describing the history of Trail.
Some of the displays include the history of Local 480 of the Union of Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers and the role of Ginger Goodwin in early efforts to create a union at the Trail smelter; a showcase of artifacts from local early businesses that helped to shape a growing Trail; a display of historic Fort Shepherd and its place in the discovery and development of the West Kootenays; and a municipal display containing artifacts from the City's earliest days.
The Museum is open June through August, 1pm to 4:30pm (Monday to Friday) or by appointment through the Society's offices. We certainly welcome school and bus tours. Admission is by donation.
